Some Of My Love

It’s Sunday morning and I’m layin’ upside down with my feet upon my pillow.
He’s in the shower and he’s going on the road and I’m just I’m looking out the window.
Don’t really worry too much, I guess that’s just in my blood, wish I could give that to you.
Do you want some of my love?

I’ve done some pretty bad things, I’ve done some decent ones too, sometimes its hard to know the difference.
Sometimes I get in a state, just like you, but I give it some resistance.
You’ve got a pretty good grip, now just take hold of what’s right, and try to pull it on through.
Do you want some of my love?

Do you want some of my love?
Do you need some of my love?
Do you want some of my love?
Do you need some of my love?
Do you want some of my love?

I fell in love…and I mean, really fell in love…when you were still your mother’s daughter.
I gave it all away to this one, then to that one, and the flames kept getting hotter.
Don’t love this man any less, don’t love those men any more, don’t get much simpler than that.
Do you want some of my love?

Do you want some of my love?
Do you need some of my love?
Do you want some of my love?
Do you need some of my love?
Do you want some of my love?

I can tell by the way you carry your shoulders and the way you treat your friends tonight…
you’re just waiting till you’re a little older and hoping it’ll all come right.
I know you’ve got some darkness at hand but let love make you a lady, now.
Give that girl a hand…and be good to your man.

My house was sittin’ there being beautiful the whole time you were livin’ in the city.
And I was sitting here feeling beautiful the whole time you were wishing you were pretty.
And I would never say these things to you, ‘cause I’m too happy to have a reason to.
Do you want some of my love?

Do you want some of my love?
Do you need some of my love?
Do you want some of my love?
Do you need some of my love?
Do you want some of my love?
